It came with a kickplate (not attached) that doesn't quite match in style, so Brandon's going to cut it down and turn it into Craftsman style supports for the shelf. It has a few knotholes, which make it slightly more rustic than we prefer, but I think overall it will be a nice look. And the price was better than any other doors we've seen, old or new, and the cedar should give it some character that an otherwise new door might lack, since most of the ones in our price range seem to be pine. My friend Laura has an original stained oak door that is GORGEOUS, but she says it gets stuck and doesn't close right and we wouldn't want the hassle.
