Nothing is plumb, level or square:

This blog is an attempt to document our joys and frustrations in the most recent phase of our lives--home ownership! Our new home is a 1928 bungalow in a great little neighborhood in East Point, GA.

We bought the house from a guy who pretty much flipped it, meaning he did some really nice things (thanks for the granite & stainless kitchen!), as well as some really crappy things (why did you cover up the attic vents?). His intentions? Good. His contractor? Not so much.

We hope to restore some original charm to the house, as well as update some things that have been neglected. And we hope...insane though it might be...to do it all ourselves.

Read along as we attempt to figure it all out…

time flies...

I can't believe we haven't posted since early April! I'm not able to post from work since our filters claim that the site is "pornography." I'm not sure how it determines porn from say, a houseblog, but apparently it has some sort of reasoning for it.

The twins are due next week and the current plan is for them to induce labor on Wed. May 20...if I don't go into labor on my own before then. The babies are doing well and are over 6 lbs. each right now! More updates can be found at www.babydiy.wordpress.com if you are interested.

We're going to be part of a city-wide yard sale this weekend, or rather, Brandon and his mom are setting up our sale in our yard and I'll probably be hanging out on the porch in a rocking chair, resting. More info on yard sale here: http://sites.google.com/site/eastpointyardsale/ Thanks to BITH for working on this...I promise we'll meet one day!! But I guess it will be after the twins come ;)
